He is a mathematician and a philosopher. He has done lots of work in mathematics just like the famous Pythagore theorem. He also made a Pythagoreanism school. He's famous theorem said that given any right angled triangle we could do $A^2 + B^2 = C^2$ so if we do that for 3, 4 and 5 the result would be 9 + 16 = 25.
